Who has to install my sewer lateral lines to the tap?
Property owners can choose anyone they want to install their sewer lateral lines from the house to the tap as long as it is installed following the rules and regulations of the Sewer Authority.  Rules & Regulations and Sewer Connection Detail can be obtained at the German Township Municipal Office or by calling (724)737-5130 ext 5.

Who will inspect my sewer lateral lines to the tap?
McMillen Engineering is the only inspector on this project. 

What is the cost of sewer lateral line inspection?
The first inspection is included in your tap in fee.  There will be no additional charge if the sewer lateral lines are installed according to the rules and regulations of the Sewer Authority and the inspector passes the sewer lateral line on the first inspection.  Failed inspections will cost an additional $250

What is the cost per foot to install my sewer lateral lines to the tap?
Each individual property owner will have a unique situation and the fees will be slightly different.  This fee is negotiated between the contractor and the property owner.  German Township Sewer Authority DOES NOT set this fee.  It is highly recommended that property owners get multiple contractor quotes prior to making a final decision.  Most contractors will provide a free estimate.

When can I have my sewer lateral lines installed to the tap?
February 1, 2014 is the first day you can install your sewer lateral lines to the tap provided that your tap in fee is paid in full.  Sewer lines CAN NOT be installed until sewer tap is paid in full.

When will my monthly fee start?
Monthly fees for the original contacts of the sewer project will begin May 1, 2014 whether you are tapped into the system or not.  Property owners on the line extension contacts will not be billed until they have availability of sewer service.

When will the street resurfacing complete in my area?
Summer 2014.  German Township is working in conjunction with the German Township Sewer Authority, Community Development Block Grant, Liquid Fuels Municipal Services and Act 13 monies to resurface roadways in Edenborn, Ronco & McClellandtown.  The German Township Sewer Authority thanks you for being patient will us while we work in your community.
